Day 1 Chihuahua
Following your arrival and checking into your hotel, you will embark upon a wide ranging tour of this thriving capital city. Among many other things you will visit the State Capitol with its famous murals depicting the history of the state of Chihuahua; the Museum of the Revolution, which was formerly the home of Pancho Villa and which still contains fascinating memorabilia from his controversial life, as well as numerous exhibits on the Mexican Revolution; and the colonial aqueduct.

Day 2 Chihuahua - Creel
Early in the morning you will check out of the hotel and board the Chihuahua al Pacifico train at the depot. This is the beginning of your journey through the plains and foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountains. Your first destination is the town of Creel. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and then embark on an afternoon tour of the area. The sights here include Tarahumara Indian cave dwellings, an old Jesuit mission, a nearby lake, and the interesting rock formations in the "Valley of the Mushrooms".

Day 3 Creel - Copper Canyon
After a free morning, you will board the train for a short trip to the Copper canyon. After checking into the Hotel Posada Mirador, which is perched on the rim of the canyon, you will have the entire afternoon to enjoy the breathtaking scenery from your private balcony. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Copper Canyon - Los Mochis
After breakfast at the hotel, you will have the morning free to visit the Tarahumara Indians, buy their craftwork, and hike among the numerous lookout points. After lunch, you will reboard the train for the last and most exciting leg of the rail trip accross the Sierra Madre Mountains. This stage with its great scenery also shows the incredible engineering achievement accomplished by the builders of the Chihuahua al Pacifico Railroad. Once in Los Mochis, you will be transferred to the Hotel Santa Anita overnight.

Day 5 Los Mochis
Transfer to Los Mochis International Airport or Bus Terminal.
