Day 1 Chihuahua
Upon arrival and checking into your hotel, the afternoon tour of this thriving capital city will include: the state capitol building and description of its murals depicting the history of the state of Chihuahua; the Museum of the Revolution (formerly Pancho Villa's House), which still contains fascinating memorabilia from his controversial life, as well as numerous exhibits on the Mexican Revolution, the colonial aqueduct, residential districts, the baroque style cathedral, etc., return to hotel, overnight.

Day 2 Chihuahua/Creel
Early wake up call and transfer to the train depot to board "El Chihuahua al Pacifico" (El ChePe). This is the beginning of your journey through the plains and the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountains, bound for Creel: arrival and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon's tour will include: Tarahumara Indian cave dwellings, and old Jesuit mission, interesting rock formations in the "Valley of the Mushrooms", and nearby lake, return to hotel, overnight.

Day 3 Creel/Cerocahui
After a free morning the hotel will provide transportation to the station to reboard the train and after a short stop at Copper Canyon will continue to Bahuichivo, upon arrival, will be transferred to the quaint village of Cerocahui, nestled in the heart of the Sierra Madre, rest of day at leisure, dinner and overnight at Hotel Mision.

Day 4 Cerocahui/El Fuerte
Followed by breakfast will board hotel bus for a three hour tour to "Cerro del Gallego", to enjoy the breathtaking views of Urique Canyon; return to hotel and after lunch will be transferred to the station to reboard the train and continue thru the most scenic and rugged part of the mountains and enjoy the awesome vistas and the railroad's incredible engineering feat, bound for El Fuerte: arrival and transfer to Hotel Posada del Hidalgo (beautiful old hacienda turned into hotel), overnight.

Day 5 El Fuerte
At leisure: El Fuerte in an old colonial city, founded in 1564; suggest to visit the nearby Municipal Palace, square and take a stroll thru town and along the banks of El Fuerte river; overnight at Hotel Posada del Hidalgo.

Day 6 El Fuerte/Copper Canyon
Early wake up call and transfer to the station to board El Tren for the return trip to Copper Canyon: arrive at mid-afternoon to Posada Barrancas station and transfer to the rim side Hotel Posada Mirador; rest of day at leisure, dinner and overnight.

Day 7 Copper Canyon/Chihuahua
After breakfast, will board hotel bus for a scenic tour to "El Divisadero", return to hotel and after lunch will be transferred to station to reboard the train and continue to Chihuahua: upon arrival, will be met at the station and transferred to Hotel San Francisco, overnight.

Day 8 Chihuahua
Transfer from hotel to airport or bus terminal.
