Day 1 El Paso
Today is dedicated to the details. We will be covering the preparation of documents, a pre-tour check, insurance, money exchange, and a trip briefing. You will have the opportunity to meet our whole Staff members and fellow travelers tonight at our get-acquainted party once we have completed all the necessary paperwork.

Day 2 Chihuahua
We caravan across the U.S. border into Mexico and head directly into a territory rich in history, full of wild-west tails, of fortunes to be found, Indian raids, revolution, and a modern day Robin Hood. After we have settled into our full-service RV Park in Chihuahua, we have a fiesta dinner and entertainment in store for you.

Day 3 Mennonites
This morning's city tour of Chihuahua includes viewing the murals at the State Capital Building, a tour of the Cathedral and a visit to the Pancho Villa Museum. The museum is one of the national hero's haciendas, and herein is a wealth of history and artifacts from his era. One of the most interesting pieces of history is the 1919 Dodge in which he was shot and killed. Afterwards we will drive to Cuauhtemoc, the center for the fascinating community of Mennonites that have made Northern Mexico their home for 80 years. Our introduction to the Mennonites and their customs will take place tonight when we have dinner in a Mennonite home.

Day 4 La Junta, train loading
The day had finally arrived for us to prepare for our train journey. Today we board the Chihuahua-al-Pacifico (Chepe) Private Train bound for the Copper Canyon. Each individual rig will be professionally loaded onto your own Private Train Platform, from which you will enjoy unobstructed views of one of the world's greatest rail journeys through the Copper Canyon. Prior to our departure, on the following day, we will enjoy dinner in an orchard at the unique Apple Restaurant.

Day 5 Creel
Creel is considered the gateway for the Tarahumara Native country and it serves as the center of all Raramuri, as they call themselves. The Mission Store on the main plaza of town is a gathering and trading place for this community of natives. In Creel you will be introduced to the handicrafts fashioned by these people, including dolls, violins and baskets. This working town was also once the heart of the lumber-producing area in this part of Mexico. Here we have the opportunity to tour an inhabited cave of the Tarahumara, visit the Jesuit Mission and view Arareco Lake, all of which warrant having a camera handy. Tonight we will get together to enjoy local entertainment, margarita's and dinner in an area Restaurant.

Day 6 Divisadero
During the one and a half hours we spend in motion on the train today we will be on a stretch of train tracks that loop over themselves referred to as "El Lazo", be sure to have your camera ready for this amazing feat of engineering. Shortly thereafter we will arrive at Divisadero, or "The lookout point" where not only the view into the canyon but the altitude as well, will take your breath away. We get to leisurely participate in a walking tour along the canyon rim during the most ideal lighting for photography the day has to offer. As the day turns to dusk we will be enjoying sunset while we have our cook-out dinner on the rim.

Day 7 Bahuichivo
This morning allows you ample time to explore the area on your own, relax or purchase many of the wares that the Tarahumara have on display before we continue our train trip to spend the night at the quaint little village of Bahuichivo before traveling through the most panoramic scenery of the Sierra Madre the next day.

Day 8 El Fuerte
Today we experience the most spectacular portion of the railroad. You will want to keep your cameras and binoculars handy during our decent down to almost sea level. Around the Temoris train station is an amazing feat of engineering as the train winds its way into the valley. At the top you can view three levels of railroad and high on the cliff is an impressive commemorative marker built for the dedication of the railroad by President Lopez Mateos on November 24, 1961. This marker is constructed of rails with letters 2 feet high. As we continue our way through dramatic changes in landscape, ecosystems and climate we will cross the highest bridge spanning the Rio Chinipas at 355 feet above the river, followed by the longest bridge above the Rio Fuerte at 1,637 feet in length. Upon arrival in the colonial town of El Fuerte we will be transferred to this charming and unique city for an evening walking tour prior to our dinner with entertainment.

Day 9 Los Mochis
As we continue by train to Los Mochis (Place of the Turtles) you will be seeing one of the most fertile agricultural areas of Mexico. The town itself has a brief history, founded in 1903 by an American Benjamin Johnston, who established sugarcane plantations and a sugar factory here. We will disembark the train in Los Mochis and drive to a near-by full-service campground. You have ample free-time in the afternoon to refurbish with new supplies as our Wagonmaster takes us down town to the Marinero restaurant for dinner and shopping at the Ley store.

Day 10 Los Alamos
This morning we will Caravan to the beautiful and quaint colonial town of Alamos. Alamos has been declared a national historic monument, with its beautifully restored Spanish colonial architecture with Moorish influence.

Day 11 Touring Alamos
You have the opportunity today to participate in a walking tour to see some of the restored majestic mansions that dot this community. We will also visit local pottery artisans and tour the Aduana. Tonight's agenda includes evening margarita's and dinner.

Day 12 -14 San Carlos
The drive up the Pacific coast is spectacular and scenic. Our destination of San Carlos offers sightseeing, swimming and naturally relaxing all of which are available at our beautiful RV park overlooking the Sea of Cortez. The final night will be our Farewell Dinner Party where our Wagonmaster will give out recognitions..

Day 15 -16 Bahia Kino
Relaxing, exploring, beachcombing and other optional activities abound. Hot dog roast and margarita party on the beach, bring your favorite hot dog toppings..

Day 17 Nogales
Caravan back across the border to Nogales and onto Tucson...
